NCLEX RN Prep (the “App”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an independent study tool for nursing candidates. This policy explains what information the Service handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.
Information we handle
- Study and app data: practice answers, scores, progress, bookmarks, settings, content-package state, and similar learning records. Much of this data may remain on your device.
- Account and identity data: if account or synchronization features are enabled, the Service may handle an account identifier, email address, display name, authentication subject, and tenant or membership information.
- Purchase and entitlement data: product identifiers, subscription status, renewal and expiry dates, and transaction references needed to verify access. Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not ask you to provide full payment-card details.
- Technical and security data: app version, device or installation identifiers, request identifiers, IP-derived security information, timestamps, error state, and server logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Support information: information you choose to provide when requesting support. Please do not send patient information, medical records, passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
How we use information
We use information to provide practice features, save or synchronize progress, verify subscriptions, deliver content, answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, diagnose failures, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information. As of the effective date, the App does not include third-party advertising or general-purpose behavioral analytics SDKs.
Sharing and processors
Information may be handled by service providers that support hosting, identity, security, content delivery, and customer support, and by Apple or Google for store purchases. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the Service, or as part of a lawful business transfer. Providers may process information in countries other than your own and are expected to use appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Local study data generally remains until you remove it in the App, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Records for incomplete store transactions and locally cached entitlement state may be retained where needed to verify, reconcile, or complete a purchase. Server-side information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including security, fraud prevention, transaction records, audit evidence, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Some backups and legally required records may remain for a limited period after a deletion request. See Account Deletion for available deletion steps.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to complain to a data-protection authority. You can change app permissions in device settings, remove local data in the App, and manage subscriptions through your app-store account. Use the current contact method described on the Support page for privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children, security, and changes
The Service is intended for adult nursing candidates and is not designed as a children’s service. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy as the Service changes; the revised effective date will appear above. Material changes will be communicated where required.
